Have you ever questioned what life is like in Los Angeles? Let me just say that it’s not for the weak of heart. Being a resident in LA myself, I can attest to the fact that each day is a brand-new experience with unforeseen turns. So grab a cup of coffee, and allow me to take you on a tour of a LA resident’s regular day.
The morning commute is the beginning of it all. You might believe that living in the city means you won’t have to make long journeys, but let me assure you that LA traffic is no joke. It can take me up to an hour just to get to work on a good day. Let’s not even begin to discuss the people. They are cutting each other off while driving and blasting their horns as if it were out of style. You’ll want to rip your hair out from frustration enough.
It’s time to face the daily grind once I get to work. I work in a tiny office in the middle of the city, surrounded by individuals who consider themselves attractive. Let me tell you though, I’ve seen worse. They are always comparing notes with one another regarding their most recent trips and purchases. And let’s not even talk about the office politics. It’s enough to make you want to revert to live in a cave and give up your career.
It’s time to leave work after a long day and go home. However, I first make a trip to the grocery shop to buy some supper supplies. And let me tell you, going food shopping in Los Angeles is a unique experience. People are swarming the aisles, competing with one another for the best organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, locally sourced purchase. There is also the line. Oh, there it is. It’s enough to make you want to go back home and turn around.
I arrive at my house at last and pass out on the couch. It’s time to unwind and relax. I switch on the TV and begin tossing the channels around in quest of something to watch. But I can assure you that nothing is happening. Everything is reality television and cookery contests. You’ll be tempted to chuck the TV out the window just thinking about it.
And that, my friends, is a typical day for a person who lives in Los Angeles. It is a chaotic, noisy metropolis full of individuals who believe they are superior to you. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else, despite all of that. Because LA is my home and there is nowhere else I’d rather be, at the end of the day.
Stepping Away from the Busyness of LA and Enjoying a Penthouse in Santa Monica
Los Angeles, ah. The city of dreams is a place of huge, bold, and noisy things. But sometimes you simply need to escape everything. And last weekend, I did precisely that. I spent a few days in a penthouse in Santa Monica to get away from the noise and commotion. Furthermore, it was a much-needed respite, let me tell you.
I had the impression that I had left this world when I entered the penthouse. I was able to block out the bustle and noise outside because to the large rooms, high ceilings, and breathtaking views of the city. It was a wonderful change to have some peace and quiet at last.
